Arbaminch Textile Share Company

Arba Minch Textile Share Company was established in 1984 E.C by the former National Textile Corporation in Southern Nations Nationalities and Peoples Regional state, Gamogofa Zone, Arba Minch Town, with a land holding of 180,000 Square meters, out of which 31,932 square meters are covered by the U-shaped pre-engineered factory building.

In 2011, acquired by a China-Ethiopian joint venture, Arbaminch went through a technical upgrade and resumed production.

In 2014, Arbaminch Textile Share Company started their printing and dyeing project in Sebeta, Oromia.

Completed in October 2016, this factory has 36,000 sqm of constructed area built over 25 acres of land. It is equipped with the best machinery of its day from famous international brands of Italy, Japan, Korea and the United States, with 3 printing machines, 18 jet dyeing machines and 5 setting machines; the European-standard ETP, capable of treating 25,000 tons of waste-water daily, is highly regarded by communities, local governments and international brand buyers.

A team of Chinese technicians has been giving the new project enabling care and continuous guidance. Three years after different levels of running-ins, the printing and dyeing factory is now capacitated to produce 200,000 mts per day, its products marketed to Turkey, Italy, and also to local and neighboring African markets.
