Seibu Giken DST in Spanga, Sweden, was founded in 1985. In 1993, DST became subsidiary to rotor manufacturer Seibu Giken Company Ltd Japan.

By producing sorption dehumidifiers of the highest quality, DST has been established as one of the premium manufacturers, in top of the competition. All DST dehumidifiers are sold through a world-wide net of representatives. DST is currently represented in over 45 countries throughout the world and has four subsidiary companies in America, China, East Africa and Poland. Up to today, DST has sold over 70 000 units.

Seibu Giken Company Ltd was first in the world to manufacture silica gel rotors, they remain the world leaders in this technology since 1984. They have now produced over 850 000 desiccant rotors.

Our technology includes:

Rotor - All DST desiccant dehumidifiers are equipped with the Seibu Giken silica gel rotor. In the Seibu Giken rotor the silica gel is chemically bonded to the structure, which means that there is no desiccant carryover to the air. DST also offers 3 special rotors: D-MAX H - bactericidal, hygienic D-MAX CI - 100% silicone free and DLR - zeolite rotor for low dew points.

Sorption Principles - All DST dehumidifiers are desiccant. The basic principle is that the air to be dehumidified is passed through the rotating rotor which adsorbs moisture. The moisture in the rotor is removed by a hot air stream. DST has developed the Econosorb and Frigosorb principles which are very energy efficient. Other well-known sorption principles from DST is Recusorb, Consorb and Aquasorb.
