Highway Car Cushion and Upholstery Ltd was incorporated in 1990. Initially the company started by offering its services to government and private institutions as well as individuals that needed their personal cars upholstered. Highway Car Cushion and Upholstery Ltd was then contracted by General Motors East Africa(GMEA) to become its supplier of soft trims for their Isuzu brand which they locally assembled. This relationship with GMEA has been ongoing for more than 25 years to date.

As a GMEA contracted supplier the company produces a variety of products for the various models, some of the products include: seat covers, floor mats, headlining roof, instrument covers, canvas dust cover and wrappers that are used to protect the vehicle as it moves along the production line.

In addition to the above upholstery work, Highway Car Cushion and Upholstery Ltd also offers Tooling services at the GMEA assembly plant which involves the joining and reinforcement of chassis for all the Isuzu vehicles assembled at the plant.

Highway Car Cushion and Upholstery Ltd also offers its services to institutions and individuals that would like their company and personal vehicles upholstered to their own taste and preference. This upholstery work is done using both local and imported high quality PVC and Fabric materials. Fine Leather material is also available and is sourced from local tanneries.
