We are Rwanda´s leading Oil Marketing Company. We control the biggest market share and have the most expansive retail network spread across the country.

We were set up in May 2002 and commenced operations concentrating in wholesale and reseller business sector. In 2005, after the acquisition of Shell Rwanda SARL as a going concern. This enhanced our business especially in the retail sector. Ever since, we have continued to grow our asset base both organically and through acquisitions.

In addition to enlarging our asset base, we are able to grow our presence in Rwanda due to our innovative products as we continue to enhance value to the customer. This led to us being the first oil company to invest in a modern LPG Storage and Filling Plant in Kigali. We have since launched many more products including fuel voucher system and the electronic fuel management system (the i-Fuel).

In addition to serving the domestic market, Kobil Rwanda has established an export market to the neighboring Eastern DRC.

Rwanda is currently experiencing an economic boom thanks to sound economic management by the current Government. We are therefore positioning ourselves to take advantage of the improving business environment.
