AFRIpads is the leading manufacturer and largest commercial supplier across Africa of reusable sanitary pads. To date, we have provided over 3.5 million women and girls across 30 countries with a sustainable solution for managing their periods. AFRIpads currently employs more than 200 young women in Uganda to make our reusable sanitary pads. This year, we opened our brand new factory in rural Uganda that will create 500 new jobs.

All AFRIpads products are quality certified by the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) with Standard US 1782:2017 for reusable sanitary pads.

Our reusable sanitary pads are designed to provide superior feminine hygiene protection and comfort. AFRIpads Menstrual Kits are made from high-performance textiles and provide effective protection for 12+ months of use. AFRIpads are ultra-absorbent, natural, and eco-friendly.

AFRIpads understands that menstrual hygiene management requires more than just pads.To support our partners to deliver holistic programming, we provide a suite of free education materials including a three hour long curriculum on menstruation, a period story book and a data collection tool.

By locally manufacturing all AFRIpads products in Uganda, we have created a rural-based industry and meaningful employment for over 160 Ugandans - 90% of whom are female. By shipping across Africa, we bring our product solution closer to girls and women who need them.
